Movie review of "Avatar"

Basically, the gist of the movie "Avatar" is about the sky people who are the humans trying to drive off the native humanoid race called Na'vi who inhabits a palnet called "Pandora" so that they can mine precious and valuable material scattered throughout the place. In exchange for a spinal surgery to cure his paralysed legs, the war paraplegic veteran named Jake Sully is supposed to gather information from the Na'vi using an avatar identity. The humans created machines that could connect their mind to the avatar's mind. However, when Jake knew the evil intentions of Colonel Quaritch, the leader of the army, he decided to protect Pandora instead. Colonel Quaritch became restless and went for war against Pandora, destroying many living things on that planet. Jake became the leader in the war after Neytiri's father died during the first invasion of the humans and after Jake caught the red bird, the most important of all kinds. With the combination of all the tribes on Pandora, Pandora eventually won the battle and Jake remained on that planet after that.

I find this movie extremely thrilling and attention-grabbing as there are many creative and interesting things such as mushroom-like plants that could shrink to an extremely small size when being touched. The movie had also emphasized on the process in which Jake learnt the essential skills as an avatar. These details may be minor but they really tell us a lot about the life in the Na'vi tribe. In my own opinion, the most exciting part was during the war where I can feel a sense of unity on the planet of Pandora. This movie is no typical movie as it includes "people" the height of 3m and many other unusual stuff. Even though I watched the movie in 2D, I still feel that it was a movie worth watching and I believe the movie would be even better in 3D as you will definitely feel as though you are in the movie itself. This movie had really left me a very deep impression. It is a movie highly recommended for all to watch!
